Biography

Formed in January 2001 after the return of guitarist / vocalist Neil Phillips from the ever wayward Yo-Yo's, the B*Movie Heroes, completed by drummer Scott Garrett, bassist / vocalist David Halloran and guitarist / vocalist Dean McCreadie, are the antidote to todays faceless dance acts, indie by numbers chart acts, and 'oh-so-alternative' nu-metal bands.

With a sound based on the pure principal that the songs make the band, their music is uncompromising yet memorable, aggressive yet subtle and by linking the full on guitars and pounding rhythm section with 3 part bitter sweet harmonies they just about manage to soften the blow enough to leave you wanting more.

The B*Movie Heroes have established themselves as one of the hardest working bands in the country, winning an impressive following through constant touring with the likes of King Prawn, [spunge], 4ft Fingers and The Wildhearts. Combine that hard work ethic with some of the most exciting and stunning new rock music in today's scene and you have a band who are making people notice by playing the game on their own terms.

With the forthcoming debut album 'Anthems For the Underdog' due out in March 2003 and the accompanying 3-month UK and European tour the B-Movie Heroes look set to be one of the shining lights in the UK rock scene in 2003.

Neil Philips was previously guitarist for The Yo-Yo's and has alsop played guitar for Danny Frye & The Devildolls UK for whom Scott has also banged skins. The B*Movie Heroes have toured with Johnny Zhivago and Plan A and supported Silver Ginger 5... amongst others.
